Happy Halloween all and welcome to Laundry Chat with Alice and Martha.

Since you asked, I did some digging on laundry and found nothing. The only discussion was how would House Elves do laundry if presenting them with cloths would free them. The solution seemed to be that since they were not personally being handed the cloths and they were not “owned” by the students and Hogwarts it would be fine for the House Elves to do laundry. The other camp was saying though that the House Elves were afraid of all the items left behind by Hermione, so. . .

As to the chapter, I do love it. The image of a completely clueless Crab and Goyle eating random food floating in the air is just ridiculously stupid.

And I love the idea of becoming someone else for an hour. It would be so much fun, but also lead to so much trouble, no wonder it is a restricted potion. Add to the potential issues such as Hermione ran into by grabbing the wrong hair and that adds to the reason it is a restricted potion. But they seem to use it a lot in future books with mixed results.

Hermione was the real MVP of this plan. It’s a shame that after all of her careful steps it still blew up in her face.

Fred and George are such gems. 😛

i don’t mind that Hermione’s analogy is too Muggle like because the one making it is a Muggle.

It’s strange that Polyjuice potion has different tastes. I think transforming is worse.

I did not clock in on the Ravenclaw being Penelope. Nice catch! I didn’ think about how the secret chamber could double as the prison later on.

I think it’s important to remember that Ginny was not always an outgoing, confident girl shonwasnt afraid to throw a hex on someone. That’s just how she was in Order of the Phoenix. She clearly went through a personality change in between books three and four. So the fact thst she’s kind of quiet at school which is a new environment for her, on top of all the diary stuff isn’t that unusual.
