Hypocritical Hippogryph.

1- As far as points, how do the students in the morning know the lost points were from Harry and crew.

2- You mention house pride. Just as in the real world, many just don’t care.

3- You keep mentioning Dumbledore is guiding Harry to recover the stone. Not buying it. The whole idea is to keep the stone safe, not a group of 11 years olds to go through a bunch high-level life-threatening challenges.

4- How does one keep track of an invisible cloak?

5- The whole idea of having 11-year-olds serve detention by running around in the forbidden forest at near midnight, hunting down a creature killing unicorns is just ridiculous and dangerous.

Fifty points each sounds like the most horrifying thing to happen in the book so far. The aftermath was pretty brutal but that’s nothing compared to what will happen in Book 2. I also think that Volemort’s request is about the unicorn blood. I forgot that Ron didn’t have detention. Thanks first movie. I love the foreshadowing about werewolves. I wonder what Draco was doing when Harry was with the centaurs!

I’m just starting this podcast (and I’m obsessed) but wanted to point out about how “Mars is bright tonight”. I found this online that explains it well: “Mars” is a reference to the Roman god of war. In these scenes, they have recently learned of Quirrel sneaking through the forest and drinking unicorn blood. The centaurs know war is coming. Metaphorically, the god of war is starting to show himself.” So I think this is what they meant when they had the warning about what the planets are saying, and how they hope it doesn’t come true.
