I agree that of the seven books, this is my least favorite. the whole possession of Ginny is disturbing, especially when you know “the secret” and realize all the stuff that goes on, Ginny is doing.

– Harry could have had a lot of fun with the Dursley’s not knowing his non-magical limitation.

– Having Summer homework is not too hard to imagine as they have mostly the same teachers every year, teaching the same classes.

– Harry’s Birthday is pretty depressing. Not only do the Dursley’s completely ignore it, they plan a dinner party on his birthday.

After listening to a slew of special topics episodes, it’s good to be back on board with the bookclub.

To be honest, I don’t remember being the biggest fan of this book. My top books in the series would probably Books 3 and 6. I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels this.

I had no idea why the Dursleys freaked out over Harry’s prompt for a ‘please’ until Vernon had to spell it out. I completely forgot about that scene.

For what it’s worth, the first HP book I read was Book 4 so I appreciated the background info. At least it’s not as bad as the Baby-Sitters Club chapter 2 recaps.

Dudley’s compliment about Mr. Mason being his hero is absolutely ridiculous.

Cheese is absolutely delicious. Alice, does that mean you’re not a fan of pizza?
