Never really thought about the poor mandrakes. Kind of messed up.

I agree that Arithmancy seems like a fascinating subject. I’ve often wondered about the lack of regular classes at Hogwarts. In many subjects, the kids at Hogwarts don’t progress past 6th Grade. As for Muggle-borns taking Muggle Studies, it is a lot like the Hispanic, Spanish-speaking kids that took Spanish at our High School. An easy A.

Hogwarts really needs an on-staff therapist for all the trauma these kids see and endure throughout the years Harry is there.

Teachers really make or break a class. I think Divination is fascinating and would really have enjoyed Divination with the Firenze but hated it with Trelawney. Care of Magical Creatures sounds really interesting too because otherwise you wouldn’t interact with the animals.

I like how couples really aren’t an issue until the characters are older. As far as we know, Percy and Penelope are indeed the cutest couple in Hogwarts.

Like I mentioned before, the fourth book was my first only because my cousin had two copies and insisted that I read it.

I didn’t expect so many third book foreshadowing in one place!
