I have always gotten the sense that Percy feels some type of way toward his father. The Weasleys are a pretty simple family, but Percy doesn’t want to be simple. He’s not a down home boy who’s satisfied with an average life, and I believe he as always has some sort of resentment towards Arthur for his lack of ambition. Arthur’s position in the ministry isn’t particularly well paying, or at least I’ve never gotten the sense that it was. He does what he loves, which is respectable. But at the same time, he’s definitely not an employee that the higher-ups within the ministry particularly respect. And I think that Percy has always wanted to grow out of his roots and become somebody important in life, and he thinks that the only way to do so is by career success and conforming to authority.

I chuckled when the Broomstick Servicing Kit was mentioned and I’m so glad that it was touched upon on the top of this episode!

I guess Mr. Roberts was there just to button up his story.

I never noticed that Mr. Waesley’s actions could be the routine for when Mrs. Weasley flies off the handle.

I’d love to know more about the clock too. It’s absolutely endearing. What a great connection to Maurauders’ Map.

Maybe ‘charm’ is an error and it was supposed to be ‘curse’.

It’s so sad to hear Fred talking about his death as a big joke.

Mrs. Weasley could have at least removed the lace from Ron’s dress robes. I wonder why Ron didn’t use his father’s or brothers’ dress robes.
