4.31 The Third Task

Bill is back, acting cooler than ever, Snuffles sends his best wishes (or does he?), and no one but Hermione seems to be able to remember that Muggle technology goes haywire at Hogwarts. Luckily, there are spells to point Harry in the right direction, literally! Alice and Martha also admire Cedric’s true Hufflepuff characteristics and consider the ways in which Harry could have benefited from a longer friendship with him. Devastation looms, but for the moment, everyone is grinning…

Thanks for sharing your stats! Congrats on never missing a Monday. We’re in the same year (you recorded in 2018 and I’m listening in 2018) but by the time I catch up it will definitely be 2019.

Ha, I never thought of Emo-Harry being foreshadowed,

Hedwig is the one getting the moments of silence but Cedric’s at death door and if we should mourne anyone at this point it’s Sirius…

I wonder why Rita would reveal herself to be present on Hogwarts grounds. Anyway, I loved the ‘bugging’ wordplay. And yes, she was thinking about the water beetle.

Awww, I didn’t even think of Sirius coming in dog form.

Ah, so Krum was cursed. I thought it wasn’t in Victor’s character.

Harry Potter should have done what The Hunger Games did with multiple vantage points for the audience.

Harry used a future moment as Patronus inspiration when he imagined getting to live with Sirius towards the end of Bood 3.

I’m more partial to ‘um’ as well.

The end of this chapter is so heartbreaking.
