5.28 Snape’s Worst Memory

With Umbridge as the new Head of Hogwarts, Fred and George take their troublemaking to the next level. A kitten plate saves Harry from divulging important information, though isn’t that the point of the Fidelius Charm? Voldemort begins laying the groundwork for luring Harry to the Ministry (we think?) and Malfoy finds out that Harry has been taking remedial potions. Finally, Harry’s world is shattered when he realizes that his father and godfather were the world’s biggest tools as teenagers.

I actually started listening to Career Advice before I realized that I completely skipped this episode. I’m glad I only got 6 minutes in before realizing.

Hogwarts: where the walls do have ears in the form of portraits!

The Weasley twins’ antics are probably my favourite part of this book.

I was always confused about how Harry was able to dream about things he never saw either. I’m glad you talked about it.

I read a lovely missing moment fanfic about Cho finding out about Mariette. The premise is that Mariette was the one who was there for Cho when she was grieving for Cedric so she tried to be loyal back.

You’re right about the Pensive. If Snape was so focused on his notes then how could he have recorded the Maurauders’ conversation? How did he know what James was initialling? I guess your Pensive theory is the only explanation.

By the way, I went back to the Preview Show and saw that I first started listening in August 2017. It’s my two-year anniversary with the Real Weird Sisters!
