7.10 Kreacher’s Tale

Once again, the starting page number of this chapter proves to be very significant as Kreacher reveals his story to the trio. But before we get to the elf tale, Harry spends some time ransacking Sirius’s bedroom, under the watchful eye of several bikini-clad muggle girls, a very telling photo of the Marauders, and possibly Phineas Nigellus. And “oh, Harry,” this chapter is full of revelations, from the shocking reveal of R.A.B.’s true identity to the truth about the horrors of Kreacher’s past. I guess not enough people talk about it but I love the descriptions that are written for the episode summary. You girls never fail to choose just the write callbacks to describe a chapter.

Lol, call back to the April Fools chapter. That was a really funny one.

I think Ron and Hermione were holding hands. I didn’t see any love triangle tension, though.

Lily’s letter gives me 2020 lockdown vibes.

I think what tipped off fans that RAB was Regulus (G pronounced the same way as Gus and not John, lol) came down to the translations. Once the discrepancy came to light, it wasn’t hard to draw the right conclusion.

I wonder if Regulus would have joined SPEW.

This chapter did more for Elf rights than the entirety of SPEW!
